Two years ago I'm standing in the grocery store with my four kids, cart completely full, and I grab this protein powder I love. But I can't justify it. So I put it back on the shelf. Again. If you're a mom, I bet you've been there too. Maybe it's new clothes you keep talking yourself out of, or a vacation you keep pushing off because the budget's too tight.
No college, no degree, no business background. Married at 19, worked in orthodontics for five years, quit after my second baby. Spent the next seven years in full time mom mode. I loved it. But I always had this itch to do something more. Something that was mine.
I kept seeing reels on Instagram of women talking about the Amazon Influencer Program. Honestly? I thought it was a total scam. But after two weeks I went to my husband Josh and said, "I think I want to try this."
The early months were slow. $5, $10, $15 days. I did all of this with four young kids, filming from 9pm to 2am after they went to bed. One to five videos a day, consistently. At my six month mark I hit my first $1,000 month. And it compounded from there.
Today my life looks completely different. We took our family of six to Hawaii. I buy that protein powder without thinking twice. But the biggest change isn't the money. It's the confidence. Going from full time stay at home mom to someone who built something real gave me a pride I didn't even realize I was missing. You can be both. An incredible mom and someone building something of her own.
